Dear Allwin,

I understand the anguish and the pain. Its not easy forget your past and just move on specially when it comes to love. It feels horrible when you realize that the person whom you loved the most is no more with you but what’s the point ? You can’t let your past make inroads into your present and destroy your future. Life has to go on.

Battling depression can be tough at times but, you are strong enough to let anger and frustration get the better of you. Shutting yourself down and not letting any one in is not an answer. Your life is not as bad as you think and you are not alone. You are blessed to have friends who have stood by your side when you were having a hard time. They have not given up on you yet but, you’ve been too rude to them. “I am feeling horrible and I just do not want to talk about it. Leave me alone”  This has been your answer for quiet sometime. Your friends, they wait with a hope that someday you’ll come back to them. They still care about you. Talk to them. Pour out your heart to them.

Let me ask you something. When was the last time you smiled at genuinely feeling happy. Last year? Last month? Last week? When?

I’ll tell you, It was yesterday. A kid smiled at you and you smiled back at him. For moment you could feel a tinge of happiness in a corner of your heart but it vanished away a little too soon. There lies your answer. Little things in life bring small moments of happiness but, we forget it too soon. The world we live in is a beautiful place. So why regret when it is going to get you nowhere.

You deserve a fresh start to life. Keep yourself engaged with something or the other. Channelize your frustration, anger and betrayal in the right direction. Start doing things which you love doing.

Hang out with friends, Travel to places, Watch movies, Read Books…

Love the most important person in your life: Yourself.

Hang in there, Keep fighting. You’ll be absolutely fine.

P.S. : Belated Birthday wishes. Have a wonderful year ahead.
